2013 in 2013
Today I'm starting my 2013 in 2013. I'm going to run 2,013km in 2013. I've broken it down into manageable segments:
- weeks 2–3: 30km/week
- weeks 4–6: 35km/week
- weeks 7-52: 40km/week
Anyone who might be doing the math in their heads might see that this is a bit more than 2,013 km. I'm hoping, however that this should leave me a few days for rest and sickness and I'm sure I'll get in more than 40 some weeks. The plan for the end of the year is to finish with 2,013km in the can. Now, I was running last summer and doing a pretty good job of it. Then I started moving to a new house and stopped running all together. I'm not sure how I'm going to fair going forward, but I'll log my progress here as I go along. I'll add maps and links and maybe even some photos.
Technical
I'm using Nike+ running on my Galaxy S3 for tracking my progress . I mostly chose this as I've been using it for some time and it has all of my run history up to now. If you have a look at my profile [edit: link redacted] you'll see what I've been doing as far as running recently.
edit: I was planning on using nike running but it looks like I'm trialing Runkeeper as Nike+ won't let me add treadmill runs afterwards. Now I'll add some comments and reviews of the app at the same time. Bye, Nike! You can view my RunKeeper Profile here.
