Week 3, Day 1: KT Tape is my miracle drug
KT Tape review
The KT Tape I had on my injury seems to have worked wonders in less than a day. The pain and stiffness left and I went on a short 5k tonight. It was dark and slippery but I was determined to test out the KT Tape to see how well it worked.
To put the tape on I looked up the instructions on the Web and followed the video for the body part closest to where the hurt was. Pretty easy; pretty fast. I had the regular KT Tape on. Although the company claims the pro version stays on longer, I've never had a problem with the regular version. It usually stays on until my injury is close to — if not well past — being healed. This time I didn't scrub the area and I must've been a bit oily so the tape came off during my shower after my run. All good as I picked up some KT-Pro at Shoppers.
The run
Tonight's run was not bad. The terrain was slow going and I had to mount some snow hills here and there but it feels far better than the treadmill.
I've rigged up a flashing bike light on the back of a reflective belt I bought in KAF. That stuff plus my bright orange shirt should keep me a bit safer at night.
